Jefferson and Shannon Henson founded Axia in 2023 after informally hosting a support group for foster and adoptive parents since 2017.
Their heart for caring for vulnerable kids began when they became foster parents in 2009. After almost ten years of fostering many children and after getting the privilege of adopting 4 of these children, the Henson’s transitioned into a support role for other foster and adoptive families.
Their experience in inner city church planting also gave them an understanding of the struggles that families in poverty experience and how many of the children in these families end up in the child welfare system.
Their heart is to support and strengthen families caring for vulnerable kids.
